Fortunately, the SUV accident happened in the middle of the night and there were no children injured. However, some Orlando-area parents may have to make some last minute child care arrangements Friday morning, as the SUV crash left a gaping hole in the side of the day care...
The crash happened in Pines Hills at "A Place for Tots" day care. Investigators said the SUV veered off of Pine Hills Road at about 12:30 a.m. Friday, crashing through a fence and into the building. A man and a woman inside the SUV were taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center with minor injuries. One had a broken wrist. The Florida Highway Patrol said neither is admitting to being behind the wheel. Troopers said they are working to figure-out exactly who was behind the wheel of the car and if alcohol or drugs were a factor in the car crash.
The day care will be able to make a claim against the at-fault driver for the damage to the day care and for the loss of business income related to the motor vehicle accident. It may even be able to make a claim against its own insurance, if this type of loss is covered under its policy.
In addition, once the driver of the accident is determined, an Orlando car accident attorney, could bring an action against the driver for negligence. If the driver was uninsured or underinsured, the passeger may be able to bring a claim against his/her own uninsured/underinsured motorist (UM) coverage. Certainly, the help of an Orlando car accident attorney may be necessary to sort out the legal issues involved in this SUV accident.
